The * in the name stands for a part that changes from site to site, such as an account or measurement ID.

Does the mf_* cookie require consent?
mf_* is used for analytics, so under the GDPR and the ePrivacy rules it may only be set after the visitor has agreed. Showing a banner is not enough on its own: the cookie must not be set before the visitor clicks accept.

How to put mf_* behind consent
Remove the Mouseflow snippet from your site and add your Mouseflow ID under Integrations in Consentify instead. Consentify then loads Mouseflow only after the visitor has accepted analytics, so mf_* is never set before consent.
